Friday, September 26, 2014. Our first year of PQA. We did our Mercy Border Quilt project. Basically, each person made a center square and then we swapped each month and a new border was added to it. When marking a hem, I use the old fashioned method of having the person step up onto a chair, while I sit on the floor and hold a yardstick to measure the distance from the floor to hemline. I use straight pins to mark the hem. The bodice was stitched of white Kona cotton, and the lining was as well. Perfect for a warm August day. We bought the eyelet in April.
